The Ministry of National Defense issued press release to clarify the media report “Weapon research and development talent of the national army transferred despite revolving door clause”. (September 18th, 2018)

In respond to the media report “Weapon research and development talent of the national army transferred despite revolving door clause”, the Ministry of National Defense said that the Armaments Bureau has assigned legal and supervisory personnel to investigate the case at July 24th, and the relevant product manufactured by LEAPERS is unrelated to the technique or patent of the 205th factory of the Ministry, therefore no infringement has been involved; and after verified the Civil Servant Work Act, the fact that discharged military personnel transferred to LEAPERS has not violated the revolving door clause, and also verified that no related techniques or confidential information leaked.

In addition, the investment of the US-based parent company of LEAPERS (UTG) in China is solely their business activity and is unrelated with the Ministry.
